Wiper Motor Blues....

It's snowing like mad here and I just heated up the truck to play.
When I got back inside it, there was a funny burning smell.
Well the wipers were on, but there was no motion........

So I would guess(duh) that I'll have to change the motor.
I can't remember if I have to take the windshield frame right off to change it?

So do I?

Window needs to be folded down to change it out.

Re: Wiper Motor Blues....

I guess you could try it with the windshield up. Just pull the motor cover off.

Check the wire connection. Mine was bad for a while an would start with a wiggle. Then the brushes started to go and you would have to knock the motor to go. Then it finally died.

Also check it's body ground, that can be a problem too

FU(K NO!

If you do it outside and the vinyl was cold, maybe. But now that it's warmed up, as soon as you pull that top off the windshield it will start to cool and shrink, making it impossible to put back on.

Guess yer gonna need to pull'r inside, eh?
