Going Crazy

This carburator is driving me crazy. How many turns do you turn the idle screw? How do you get the choke back together? The exploded view of the carbuator I have does not show the choke parts and the book tells me nothing for a carburator just fuel injection. An help will be appreciated.

Re: Going Crazy

I know that about 2 months ago there was a thread dealing with the mixture setting. Seems to me mine is 3 1/2 turns out. As far as the choke goes, man it is murder if you have the choke spring plate off and you don't remember the orientation. On one I replaced it with a manual choke. On another, I just looked at a bud's to see how it was orientated. These Hitachis are on a lot of Japanese cars. It's an Hitachi.
