calmini s/r ques

I have a calmini s/r kit it came with all the acc includeing the 3" lift springs, the springs are on top of a spoa but I still have the s/r kit minus springs.Has or does anybody run just the s/r with stock springs? How does it handle on the road? And whats a comfortable tire size to run? This sammy is going to be primary on-road with slight off road use,but I would like to get it up a little.I'm use to running on 36" s so it a major adjustment.Never driven a totally stock sammy, the stock 1.3 sucks. And mine runs great just cant do 60 mph, kinda funny though really.

Drive it like you stole it!!!

Re: calmini s/r ques

Yes, the kit was originally sold without the springs. It handles great and will give you 2" lift. I have that set-up on one of my Samurais with 30" tires. There is no rubbing, but I dont take this one off-road so I dont know if they would rub when flexed out. On my first Samurai, I ran this lift off-road with 235's and no rubbing

My daily driver has a s/r with stock springs and it works very well. How come you can't get to 60 mph????
