Re: new to the zuki post

Jack the rear end up and take a white marker or chalk and put a slash on the drive line lenght wise about an inch long. Have someone (or yourself) turn the tire (are they stock?) and count how many times around the shaft goes per one complete revolution of the tire. Get back to us with the numbers. There are many reductions to a sammi driveline, if you have 31's on you might be reduced. I hope for your good luck to continue. Max

Re: new to the zuki post

Welcome Wildzuki, sounds like you got got a good deal on your zuk. Haha, so you have noticed what a power house the 1.3 is. To be honest I would be very surprised if your gearing is not stock if every thing else is. I would investigate using the method prescribed by mxnhid.

Re: new to the zuki post

Sounds like you got a great deal. Going 60 is normal for a lot of Samurais and is probably not an indication that you have lower gears. Usually unless the Zuk has a lot of modifications (big a$$ed tires and lift) they have not gone to the expense of swapping gears in the tcase or differential.
