To further clarify, what I am thinking of is that very fiberglass whip you guys are talking about. The great thing about them, however, is that when you are wheelin on the trail, they can be removed or bent over and attached.
I wouldn't think of flying a giant flag while deep in wheeling...but most off road parks have big areas of mud / water to play in, and I can tell you at Paragon I nearly hit somebody a couple of times (and them me) because it was hard to see for all the terrain. It was so deep, however, that you had to hit it with momentum or would risk sitting in it for a long time. Get it?
