Anybody spray paint their zuk??

Just wondering. I have lots of new rust starting due to all the salt used on the roads this winter. Time for some bondo work. There really is not that much to paint. I'd probably even clear coat it

Re: Anybody spray paint their zuk??

Hey I spray painted my zook, cause I was low on cash and needed to get rid of the rust worked like a charm I ended up spraying the whole rig white lookis pretty good. RangerRick, I was wondering where your located in Indiana, I live in Chicago, and would love to wheel with you some day. Plus you have a 4.3L in your zook right I'm thinking of running that set up with bigger axles of coarse but before I do the conversion I was hoping to see yours. I see that your an instuctor of emergeny medicine, I'm a nursing Major at Northern Illinois univ, plus I'm taking the EMT-B coarse this semester maybe you could teach me some things.

Re: Anybody spray paint their zuk??

I spray painted my entire Jeep. Made fixing the trail scratches easy, just carry a can of rust-o-leum with you and you're set. I also did the the door and windshield frame on my Zuke. Hey, if you're going to take it on the trail, forget about an expensive paint job, you'll just cry when you drag thru the bushes. I would recommend clear coat. And with spray cans, it's hard to keep it even and smooth looking, but for just small areas like the fenders and such, you should be ok. Good luck

Re: Anybody spray paint their zuk??

Tanks for the replies. Thanks for the offer Rick.
MNRMR. Does the bedliner always look dirty or does it clean up fairly well. Seems like a good way to prevent future rust. I am dead set on painting my rig bright orange so I doubt bedliner is an option.
