Re: undrive pulley in testing

Looks nice. I should probably test one here on the east coast since it is a completely different market and weatherd abusive area. That salt might eat that thing up?! I would be willing to test it this winter as a small sacrifice for science and marketing.

Re: undrive pulley in testing

The pullies are going to be anodized to protect it from the weather. I've been talking to him about a custom set of brackets. I've seen his work and it is excellent.

Re: undrive pulley in testing

looks nice. Just wondering, I know street cars use these to pick up a little HP. In most of our off-roading, we are idling or just off idle all day while crawling. So, in our situation, wouldnt an overdrive pulley be better? The water pump would turn faster and alternator would charge more and the power steering pump would put out more pressure. Wouldnt an underdrive slow the accessories down? Can you make a pulley that is bigger?

Re: undrive pulley in testing

Yankee Tim That's what I've been talking to him about making. It's quite pricey right now because of the extra fabb time but I we can get enough people together the price will come down. Email me if your interested [email protected] and I'll fill you in on the details.

Re: undrive pulley in testing

Since I work in a fan belt R&D facility, I think it would only seem logical that I could do comprehensive testing on such a fine product. I have resources to do not only lab testing, but field testing as well, besides, one of those would like fine on the Zuk.
When I had my Chev P/U, I was able to convince the fine folks at March Engineering that I needed a set of their u/d pulleys for testing. They were more than happy to send me a nice set of billet "test" pulleys.
What the heck, it's worth a try again.
