Only kidding folks. For those who've been following my engine woes I though I'd let you know exactly what is happening.
This morning I got my rig back from the engineer (the guy that originally built my worked 1.3) with some sad news.
#1 - 100psi
#2 - 98psi
#3 - 100psi
#4 - 90psi
oil pressure at 3000rpm - 38psi
what does all this mean? My engine is FUBAR (f'd up beyond all recognition)
So, I limped the old girl home and jumped right on the phone. Here's what's going to happen in the next 4 weeks.
Engine - 1.6 Vitara engine (carbed for now as I can not be bother piss farting around with the efi and exhaust and all that ****e)
I have found an good engine that has low km's on it that is only going to set me back $950 Australian, Mounting mods $350 Australian and Electric Fuel pump $90 Australian (sorry todd, you should have let me get the price for you dude).
So, for about $1300 Australian I'm back on the road in a rig that will haul some serious ass.
Well I hope it will.
I do have one question after all of this though folks. I was told by one person that the 1.6 will need engine mount mods and mods to the t-case, but I was told by the engine supplier that it will bolt straight up. Is there a different engine other than the vitara engine that bolts straight up without modification?
