tire coverage

Next week I will be placing an order for Willamette's Custom Wheels in a 15x8 with a 3" backset, black modular. On these will be mounted 30-9.50x15 Hi-Tec or Les Schaubs recap tires. Those of you with experience, how much will they stick out beyond the fender flair? Can I expect an excessive amount of mud on the sides of the Samurai from lack of coverage? Will they cause a problem with the local constables? Thanks for the advise.

Re: tire coverage

I am spoa and have 31" tires on 15X7's they stick oout some but not bad. no problems with police here in Mass,
I was kind of nervous about it at first as they can be pissy around here sometimes. I think they stick out
1-2" at most.
