Hub Removal II

1988 Samurai (Manual Hub Locks)
I am at a new point in the hub process. I am now at the point of re-installing the freewheel hub. When I put it on I don't get left enough room on the axle to place the snap ring back in. I don't really no why. Everything seems to be placed in correctly. It is happening on both hub assemblies, driver and passenger...
Any thoughts?

Re: Hub Removal II

Take one of the bolts that holds the hub on and thread it in the hole in the axle. Now you can pull out on the axle just a bit. You should have enough space to reinstall the clip. Hope this helps.

Ok, I think I got ya covered take one of the larger bolts, from hub, and screw it into the end of the axle shaft and you can pull it out a little to put on the snap ring.
And what was wrong with the other hub you couldn't get off?
Hope this helps
