While I'm in the general area, like looking down the access hole for the shifter. How much "slop" should be in the transfer case drive train? In other words, how much should the Input Shaft rotate from the power side to the compression side? 1/4 turn, 1/2 turn or what?
Is the transfer case in my Sami a gear drive or a chain drive? Is there a manual available for the transfer case and/or the transmission? I only have a Haynes manual and it doesn't say much about the drive train. Any suggestions? Thanks.
There is probably about a 1/4 turn of play in a stock Tcase. Perfectly normal (dependent upon which range your in and if you are in gear in the Transmission too).
