Samurai pulling out a Wrangler

It will take a while to wipe the smile off my face. I have some video of my 87 Samurai pulling my buddys 95 Wrangler out of a nasty ice covered mudhole.
I'll try to get it converted to computer language as soon as possible and post it somewhere.

It was a nice afternoon of wheeling here in frozen NE Pennsylvania.

Re: Samurai pulling out a Wrangler

Get used to it! In our Zuk we've pulled everything from a quadrunner up to a Pinzhauer through obstacles.

My favorite is on a video called "wheelin the west" which was in Moab 1999. The guy from Safari Guard in a real cool looking Defender90 was behind me coming up something called the Proving Grounds (pretty serious series of obstacles). We just walked thru in our Samurai. He was getting stuck left and right. The guy was pretty cocky too. In the video, the narrator make a joke about the "Jeep Eating Defender" using a very stiff 'Push Strap' to get the Suzuki in front out of the way :^)

Re: Samurai pulling out a Wrangler

Ive pulled out 3 toyota trucks now. They try to follow me the other way thru a mud hole and cant quite make the exit without framing it on the rear pumpkin. Ive pulled the front wheels off the ground all 3 times.

During a New England ice storm I pulled out a Chevy Caprice Classic out of a snow bank. Clutch smelt a bit but got her out. Jim

Re: Samurai pulling out a Wrangler

I pulled out a 96 ranger 2wd meter reader truck the other day. The funny thing was i couldn't pull him out the first direction so I unhooked drove around to the back of him and puled him off from behind. He was stuck on a raised sewer access kinda funny he had slid down on top of it and I was leaving a little ring around him driving from front to back to try different pull angles and had no slide at all until i put the pedal down to try and get up some pull power.
