Electric fan cutoff

Anyone know where I can wire in a relay that will cut off an electric when the engine reaches operating temp.
It's getting cold now and when I drive over 60 the engine temp drops to nothing.

Thanks

Thanks,
Shawn

Re: Electric fan cutoff

PAZuki,
Look in some of the racing Parts vendor’s catalogs such as Summit or PAW. You can buy a variable electric fan control that you can set to cause the fan to only run when the water temp is above a certain temp. The way it works is there is a heat sensitive bulb that is fed into your radiator through the upper hose connection then the variable resistor at the other end that then goes to your electric fan. When you get the temp setting the way you what it the fan will come on at any temp above that range otherwise it will be off. So if the water temp drops below the setting at 60 the fan will shut off.
