First Trip

Here is a pick on my Samurai on it's first trip on the first mudhole. It did great on the trip. Definately worth all the time put into it.

Re: First Trip

The last pic of "DONT LAF" Doesn't really show it flexed out too much but it is the best picture I have with a little twist in it.

Re: First Trip

Iziffle73 that looks more like a sh*t hole then mud in the first pick! Is that a breeze steering unit? Looks like you have a real nice rig, and your using it the way it should be used. Thanks for sharing the pics. Max

Re: First Trip

I am in VA. That trip was in the George Washington National Forest on Peter's Mill Run. It is actually a easy trail but a good trail to make the first run. Going to Uwharrie in the spring to really try it out. It is Breeze steering. I got it from NCO, the spoa from RRO, the wheels are Petroworks, the TC is a Rockcrawler from NCO also. That's it for the major things that I have done so far.

Re: First Trip

Looks like fun. I wonder if that mud smelled as bad as some of the sludge we run thru up here.

But seriously, if you're gonna run thru water or mud, you need drivetrain component protection. Water/Mud can get into the cases and diffs thru the breathers. The is espically true if the case or diffs are warm when the get submerged as the cooling effect can actually suck crap inward!

There is a write-up around here somehere on how to do it. I have a complete system on mune and run water without a fear.

Re: First Trip

That is some pretty nasty lookin mud.. the stuff around here isnt nearly as, um.. colorful.. mostly just ur dark brown/blackish mud that does a really good job of adding a splatter coat to the paintjob on your truck, and really mess up a softtop somethin nasty... very nice first run though.
