SJ410 t-case mounted E-brake question

Travelled 5 hours round trip to a yard yesterday. I am the proud owner of a e-brake set-up off a '84 SJ410 that I pulled off it's t-case. (Special thanks, WildWeasel)

With this installed, I can say that my rear disc conversion was a success.

However, the brake shoes were spent. I'll be ordereing them up tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has or could find the part # so I don't drive the part counter girl crazy at Suzuki.

Can anyone help?

TIA,

Re: SJ410 t-case mounted E-brake question

RR,

Dunno, never saw her but she sounds sweet on the phone.

As for the brakes, DO IT! What a difference. The best part is that it's all Suzuki (at least thats the best part for me).

Stopping power is greatly improved. Rear axle is cleaned of all those e-brake do-hickys. We even moved the location on the axle where the brake hose attached to the top of the pumpkin (well outta the way). I've got some pics I'm gonna post to share with you all.

But still need a part #....Anyone?

Tim

When I asked the dealer for new shoes for mine, he told me it was around $82 Canadian Bucks. So he said to me, why don't I just have them relined. I never looked into it, but I'm sure it would be alot cheaper.

P.S: Had some FUN today!!!! Pulled me out a full size Blazer too!!!

Re: SJ410 t-case mounted E-brake question

Really? 82 bucks? What's that about $1.52 US!

Actually, relining is easy in Canada since you folks still like to mine asbestos. I'll try the reliners if they cost too much.

I get my Suzuki parts at dealer cost so hopefully it won't be too much. I wonder if NAPA might have them?

I figure that unless I drive around with my e-brake on (been know to do that) it should be the first and last time I buy them.

Dan, you running the 410 t-case or just the e-brake? You got rear discs?
Yet?

Nice mud action. How deep was the Bronco?
