Springs

I know this subject gets alot of attention. Especially from me, but im a firm believer in do it once right and never do it again.

Heres what i want to do:
*Run 29-31" tires (i really like the sounds of the 215/85 or 31x9.50 swamper)
*Have a halfway decent ride on the trail (my stock 90 samuri beats the %#@? out of me in washed out creekbeds)
*Have a halfway decent ride on the road (i know these 2 dont go hand in hand)
*Be SPUA for now
*And most importantly keep close to the same height for the lifetime of the spring.

So, that in mind what do you all think. I promise this is the last time i will ask. Ive just about got enuf money to lift it and i dont want to have to do this twice. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Will

Re: Springs

I forgot to add that i do not want to body lift. It does nothing for the ride. And if i do the S/R thing with the stock springs im really not helping the ride that much.

Re: Springs

31 swampers will fit if you do a 3" body lift and trim the front bumper. Air them down, take the sway bar off, and it will smooth things out. probably the cheapest. about 600 for tires and lift. I also hear that the shacckle reversal smoothas things out as well while adding 2" of lift. hope this helps

build it, break it, then build it better.

Re: Springs

The S/R does make an improvement in ride quality with stock springs. I run a Calmini S/R and 3" Nationals on my 88.5 and I will have a S/R on my '92 soon. I like the ride of the S/R. Please remember this is my opinion.
