Hard top to soft top conversion?

I was wondering if anyone has ever taken a fulltime hardtop sammy and cut off the top to make it a convertable. My reason is that i am currently rebuilding a sammy, and i have run into a lot of rust hole (These are big suckkers,i can't take my foot of the gas and set it on the floor without going through it.) So anyway i was looking around and i found a fulltime hardtop. I just don't really want to convert to hardtop, i will miss my soft top. So if anyone has done this, or if anyone has some recomendations feel free to post them.

- thanks
