Oil Pressue

I just bought an '87 Sami with 1600cc Sidekick engine. Drove home about 350 miles after I bought it. Next day started it up and blew all the oil out the oil filter. Pulled the oil bypass valve and it seems to be moving freely, but blew all the oil out again. So, what else can cause this? Thanks.

Re: Oil Pressue

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I pulled the PCV valve and it was pretty cruddy. But more alarming is that the portion of the "T" that the hose for the PCV valve comes from was completely blocked. I had to use a drill bit to get it opened back up. So... whats that mean? As you may have guessed I'm real new at this. Thanks again.

Re: Oil Pressue

I would guess that you are having alot of blowby possibly caused by poor ring sealing. However I am not a mechanic and if you take any mechanical advise from me, you get what you pay for.
