Sloppy Steering box

How do you take the free play out of the steering box? There's a screw on top with a nut around it. Is this it?

Re: Sloppy Steering box

You are on the right track... loosen the 14 mm nut then tighten the flat tip screw but not too much... I recommend 1/2 turn at a time or you may make it bind or mess up where it is supposed to center,,, or you may conceal a bad tie rod end have you checked that yet?
It helpd to take off the radiator resivoir to get a wrench on it first

Lifes tough...even tougher if you're stupid
