Samurai windshields?

I was wondering if all samurai windshield frames are made from fiberglass. I just found out that mine is, and i was just curious to see if they all are?

Re: Samurai windshields?

no, you must have an aftermarket one. You sure it is fiberglass?

No, they are made out of aluminum foil like the rest of the body. -yours must be an aftermarket style.

Re: Samurai windshields?

You probably have a Calmini frame.

Re: Samurai windshields?

I know from experience that they are not made of fiberglass. I have had to replace two of them from roll overs. I think they are made from recycled beer cans. They sure crushed like they were.

Re: Samurai windshields?

Wow, I think that may be over estimating the strength of the frame!

Re: Samurai windshields?

Thats one thing I keep seeing on pictures of rollovers, It's making me think of going from my internal 6 point
cage to an external this winter. I don't want to have to find a new body for the Weasel everytime I roll,
I just used my spare tub to make a truck for the wife...

Re: Samurai windshields?

Thanks for the replys everyone, it seems as though i must have an aftermarket windshield. I am 100% sure that it is fiberglass too. From what you guys say it seems a bit stronger then the "tin/recycled beer cans" window frames.
