New engine

Well I have had enough of my 1.3 and its carb and have decided to look at a 1.6 F.I . What's best to go for , a 16v or a tbi 8v ? I have heard the 16v head is prone to cracking . Also can you use the cams etc in a tbi engine ?
Any advice you can spare on this mod would be cool too .
Thanks Monty

Re: New engine

The 16v is definitely the best swap, but it's alot more involved(read->money) than the 8v. I don't think the 8v is worth the trouble, you would be better off to rebuild the 1.3 and get a pony or weber carb. As far as the 16v heads, my bro has one with 150,000 miles on it with no problems.
