Windows on Soft Top

1988 Samurai
I was wondering if there is a way to unsmoke the palstic windows. I have an older top and the windows are very difficult to see out of. Is there something that I can use to clean them up?

I am not sure what "unsmoke" means, but they sell a cleaner specifically designed for plastic windows that works pretty good...I can not remember the name but most autoparts stores carry it.

Plexo, its called Plexo.

Try this. I used to smoke (alot) and the windows grimed up so much with the tars and road dust, I couldn't see out. I used DRY papertowels and a lot of elbow grease and the crap came off. I say DRY cuz the soap and water didn't take it off. And no, it didn't scratch the windows. Looked almost new til a year later of smoking.

Worth the try.

One product is called Mirror Glaze. It's produced by McGuires (sp?).

They make it in a cleaner and a protectant. Great stuff but you usually can only find it in marine stores.
