Suzuki Top Brittle

Is there anything you can use to make Suzuki soft tops more flexible? I went to put mine on and it was like it didn't fit. I had to use lock pliers to pull on the top to get some of the clips on. I eventually gave up.

Re: Suzuki Top Brittle

i dont know if this will work for a top but it always worked for my leather cowboy hat(yeeehaawww) :-) put your shower on hot and let it steam the bathroom, put your top in the steam for a while and it should loosen up a bit, if it works and you get it on while its still warm i would get a protectant spray and spray the top right after it's on. this should keep the moisture in it and prevent it from shrinking

let me know if it works

Jeep tops are the same way, put it on in the direct sunlight. It'll soften the top and allow it to stretch some. Once it stretches, it'll go on easier the next time. It also keeps the wind noise down, because it's a tight fit.

Re: Suzuki Top Brittle

well here in chicago, it gets kinda cold and when I need to switch tops the sun light doesn't even help, especially when it's like negative 20 below zero. What I do is put on what I can then break out the extention cord and my girl friends blow dryer to get the rest.

It's a ZOOK thing you wouldn't understand!!

Re: Suzuki Top Brittle

Ill tell you the fix for this.Go get some formula 2001 super sun protectant from auto part store,wal-mart,etc.Saturate the top and wipe it evenly. This not only stretches the top,but also extends the life of the top!Spray about once a week.
