Re: trailers

build it yourself.go to scrap yard and buy steel at junk prices, then go to northern hydraulics and buy torsion spring axles.self contained system,no external springs to deal with.add tires and wheels and go.around$600.oo max.if you are close to me,[indiana],i will be glad to weld for you.hope this helps.ranger rick

Re: trailers

rangerrick: have you built your trailer? if so what material did you use for the frame? any other info would be helpful as I think this is the route I am going to have to go. Thanks for the welding offer but I am in central Oregon, I do have a friend who is certified who will do it for me. thanks for the info.

Re: trailers

channel would work, but i am into over kill.use 2x6 square tube, all 4 sides.my sami is 10 feet by about 6 feet.that will be my frame.two cross braces for axles to attach.2x6 would work here also.tongue should be about 3 to 4 feet long.i will use steel channel tread for tires, like on an alinement rack everything else open to save weight.i built a 18 footer, but my s-10 was ordered with high gears and works hard to pull it.i am selling it and i am going to build a 10 footer.if anybodys looking, it has new 7000#springs,new 4000#tires,2 spares, ramps, truck fiberglass toolbox ect.$1200.00.ranger rick
