RTI Ramp

My Autoshop here at school is looking to build an RTI ramp. And instead of just winging it, I thought I might ask the experts!
Do any of you out there have the specs on how to build one? IE Length of metal (We're building a 20 Degree one), amount, ect.
If you do, please post it here, I would be greatly apriciative!

Re: RTI Ramp

there is no set length for the ramp you just need to build it long enough for the vehicles you plan to ramp. just remember that it is easy to max out a short 20 deg. ramp. i would build it at least 12 ft. long. you could get away with 10' but why bother. later mike

Re: RTI Ramp

Here is the 30* ramp I built from left over tubing!!!
I might have the plans in AutoCad if you want them.

The front is made to put a receiver by the way, or a small wheel to push around the yard when cutting the grass...

Just remember for every mile on the
road of life there's two miles of ditch.

Re: RTI Ramp

Why not build a variable ramp that has settings for 20, 23, 25, and 30 degrees? It'd be similar in construction, durable, and a lot more fun.
