which 1.6 kit? manual vs. auto?

Any opinions on which 1.6kit to buy? I already have an electric fuel pump.

Would it be worth getting a 2wd sidekick/tracker tranny to avoid a kit all together?

Any opinions on manual vs. auto? Ive always wheeled with manuals myself.

I'm not to impressed with any of the adapter plates on the market, none of them precisely align the tranny or starter to the engine.
I think it would be better to use a Trackick tranny, it will give you the larger clutch and flywheel to match the engine and it's supposed
to be a better shifting box. Modifications will be required to the tunnel sheetmetal, the cross member and the stubby driveshaft needs
to be shortened.
Hawk Sazuki has put automatics in Samurais, you might want to talk to them.
