grub screws

I have noticed two small screw holes on the front disc located in the same area as the wheel studs....These two holes are for grub screws but mine are empty. does anyone have the specs for these screws and why are they needed? would them not being there contribute to my hubs not locking in properly?

Re: grub screws

those 2 holes are just for removing the disk. you just screw in a bolt to one or both and the disk will pop off the hub.
they will have no effect on the hubs. Sounds like you need to clean and lube your hubs.

Re: grub screws

I have done all that...it appears as though the main part of the hub needs to be shimmed out in order for the clutch to grab properly. Perhaps the spring could be playing a part? I am quite annoyed...I got stuck in some thick mud thinking I was locked in 4x4 *laugh*......oh well.
