Weak Link Or What...

I have a '95 Tracker, 4x4, 1.6 16valve motor with the automatic transmission...I purchased the vehicle used with 67000 miles on the clock. At approximately 87,000 miles on the clock and though using Mobil synthetic atf fluid, the transmission went bad. The flywheel also let go and so I thought that the tranny's untimely demise might be due to that, but now, with a rebuilt tranny and a little over 95000 miles on it, the transmission has let go again. I'm at my wits end and would like to know if this seems to be a common problem area with the Tracker/Sidekicks? I'm still using the synthetic atf fluid and had a Permacool tranny cooler mounted on the frame rail, but evidently, to naught...Any thoughts and comments are appreciated...and yes, I do my primary driving on the interstates at about 65-75mph...tia,
traintrackker

Re: Weak Link Or What...

I would probably steer clear of using that synthetic oil maybe. Or maybe a bad rebuild on your tranny. Did you do it yourself or did you have someone do it for you, with only 8K on it since the rebuild it should be under some kind of warranty.
