I don\'t understand

Why can't I leave my hubs unlocked and run 2LO with the case in 4LO? I see that transfer cases are sold with the 2LO option and my zuki says do no do this on the floor board, but why? On our old f*rds growing up we did this all the time on the farm. Can anyone explain this to me?

Re: I don\'t understand

you can do that no problem... its just a hassle to get out and lock the hubs every time you want to put it in 4WD... the main reason for 2lo is to be able to travel at slow speeds and keep the small steering radius and keep the wear and tear off the front end, especially where there is a locker involved... i would hate to have the hubs unlocked and be in lo and forget about it, ending up in the middle of a mud hole with only the rear wheels spinning, you know?
