Lug nuts too short

The '88 Samurai I just bought has aftermarket aluminum rims on it. I'm pretty sure they're factory Ford rims, as they have the "centreline" appearance. The chrome lug nuts holding these things on seem too short because they only grab a couple of threads on the bolt before they're tight. Who sells longer lug nuts for this application? I don't feel safe driving like this.

Re: Lug nuts too short

rgd--I just bought some used aluminum rims off of a fullsize Bronco and they work fine. I bought lug nuts from Auto Zone for about sixty cent each and they work perfect. Hope this helps.

Re: Lug nuts too short

Hey 88.5, did you ask for lug nuts specifically for your vehicle at autozone?

Re: Lug nuts too short

Tell them you need some 12 x 1.25 mm lugnuts. Like oldzuki said there are several styles to choose from.
