Weber woes!!!

I have been busy at work on my 87 Samurai. It runs great and has a large amount of new parts and add-ons. I have had a chance to do some moderate wheeling and am learning this new rig. I just added some nice 29" mud tires and am planning on adding a lock-rite this next weekend.

Im having a serious problem with my Weber carb. I know I have heard talk about this before but didnt realize it was this bad. Uphill it dies and downhill it loads up real bad. Im gonna mess with float settings but need some advice if maybe there is a kit to relieve this.

Thanks in advance

Re: Weber woes!!!

I don't have a weber carb, but i've heard that just rotating it 180 degrees can make quite a difference. I'm sure someone else will elaborate more on this. Good luck

Re: Weber woes!!!

Rejet it, lower the float, install fuel pressure regulator= ok Weber
I don't know your elevation, I'm at 5200 ft and use .5 psi fuel pressure, lowered the float so there is only 1/2-3/4" of fuel, and used 120 main jets with 170 air jets, and a 45 45 Idle jet.
Works great for off roading, will pass emmisions, BUT will not run above 8000 feet very good---- Hence the FI conversion I just did and trail tested today, AWSOME!!
Good luck
