Please Help: My rear view mirrors/ windy = moving

Hello, my rear view mirrors are moving when it is windy. I posted this question a few months back. I am ready to take it apart but wanted to know if this is the right way. I look in the bottom of the mirror, there are two small slots. And all I have to do is get a small screw driver and pop it off through the slots. And then there should be a bolt there after it is taken off. Is this the right way? I want to make sure so I will not break anything. Thank you for your reply.

you just pop off small cover on bottom of mirror and if
i remember correctly use a 10mm socket to adjust tension
easy fix.then pop covers back on and reajust mirror angle.
