Re: External Cage

That is nice, a few questions though. Why did you not triangulate the top for roll bracing. How did you attatch the bottom to the frame, plates bolted or welded ? That was the hardest part for me, that and making it removable. Are those all one peice going from one side wrapped to the other on the center post? ( the bar that outlines the targa) and is it hard for you to put a top on? good work Mike, looks great, did you do it yourself? Max

Re: External Cage

Now that's a winner!

Looking to do the same this winter, so if you could pass along some more pics and words of wisdom, we'll all be your friends.

In all seriousness, that is a very sweet cage. Couple quick Q's. What gauge and type of tubing? What is it's final weight (cage that is)?

Re: External Cage

I am about to start 2 more cages on a 88 ht and a 87 conv.i have been using 1 5/8 tubing .120 wall thickness about .60 cents a ft.this is the cheap stuff electric welded seams, more than strong enough for a light weight zook.i will take a bunch of pics and post them.it will be about 3 to 4 weeks be fore we get started.i have to many irons in the fire.mike
