Re: tranny Q

I had one that was noisy for a year, never had a problem, sold it that way.

Re: tranny Q

I just rebuilt my tranny and added a new clutch a few weeks ago. It was noisy before I rebuilt it and has quieted down a little since i rebuilt it and added a new pilot and throwout bearings...but overall it still is a little noisy. A Samurai is a cheap truck - you really cannot expect too much refinement....it is part of it's personality - all the noises and rattles!

Re: tranny Q

Man, my '94 used to whine like a woman, especally around 85-90 MPH. Wasn't so bad under 40. Sounded like that from the day I drove it off the showroom floor.

Re: tranny Q

While it was still young and completely stock, I actually had it pegged out, on an interstate, while going down a mountain. Musta been 100 MPH. I only did it once. I'll NEVER do it again. Actually thought it was going to fly away. Boiled the brake fluid trying to stop it.

*this stunt was performed by a certified idiot and should not be tried by anyone else*
