zuk pulling to one side when braking

Hi guys!

I recently serviced my brakes. I had initially poor stopping power. took the disc rotor out to have it skimmed as it was
a little uneaven. After fitting them back. Now the vehicle pulls to one side under braking.

check the rotor again. It's OK and true. Brake pads are fine. Tire pressure OK all round. Any idea what's wrong?

It seems that I've gone from poor stopping power to good stopping power but with the pulling to one side problem.

Please.... any ideas? THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Loose caliper bolt? Maybe you have a brake hose pinched or a hard line bent. Also check the caliper assemblies, one of the pistons could be stuck. Hope this helps.

Re: zuk pulling to one side when braking

I switched tires and rims last weekend. I went to 33x1250 on 2in b-spaced rims & my samurai now pulls to one side when I brake. However, it pulls sometimes to the driver side , other times to the passenger side.

Drive it for a while then feel the hubs. If one is hot, then most likely the caliper is stuck/frozen. Mine did that for a while. Had to work the caliper a couple dozen times to get to unstuck. But every time it was "rode hard and put away wet" it would freeze again. You can rebuild the caliper, or get a new one.

That seems to be the most likely problem. Let me know if that's is the case.

Yea,sounds like the piston in the caliper.Ive noticed that sometimes you can tell if they're bad or on the way out just by taking the caliper off.You know when you put on new pads you have to push the piston back in and if its froze up or takes everything you got just to move it a tad, well that might indicate wore out caliper,BUT not always.
