Crankcase Vent?

I currently have my crankcase vent hooked through my Weber Carb. The rubber tubing is not really bending properly for a good fit (it closes part of the hose off) and I was wondering if it is possible to remove this tubing and just place a crankcase vent (little K&N type) instead of running this tube? Will I have to plug the end of the carburetor where the tube comes out of now - to avoid vacuum leaks? Will adding this filter be beneficial at all?

Re: Crankcase Vent?

I AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO FIND THE LITTLE FILTER MYSELF, FOR THAT SAME APPLICATION. IF YOU LOOK AT CALMINIS WEB SITE IN THE ENGINR PERF. SECTION YOU WILL SEE A PICTURE OF AN ENGINE WITH THE SET UP YOU WANT...PROBLEM IS WHERE DO I GET A LITTLE FILTER LIKE THAT. THEY ALSO DO THE SAME THING ON HIPO 22R TOYOTA ENGINES.

Re: Crankcase Vent?

What if you used a longer piece of tubing to route it differently?

K+N has a great selection of small breather type filters.
