steering linkage *help*

I JUST PUT SYNTHETIC GEAR OIL IN MY DIFFS LAST NIGHT AND I COULD ACTUALLY FEEL THE DIFFERENCE, SO I MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING RIGHT. ANY WAY I WAS SO EXCITED I WENT OUT TO THE DUNES WITH SOME OTHER ZUK FRIENDS AND NOTICED NOT SO GOOD STEERING. TURNS OUT THE STOCK(KIND OF MODIFIED BT PREVIOS OWNER)STEERING LINK BAR ALMOST LOOKED LIKE AN 'S' AND IT WAS REAL LOOSE. I MADE IT HOME, BUT OBVIOSLY I NEED A NEW ONE. I'M SORT OF ON A BUDGET HERE AND CANT WELD, WHAT WOULD BE BEST FOR ME,WITH 31'S SPOA, AND EXT. SHOCK MOUNTS. NOTE MINE DID.NT BEND ALL AT ONCE, IT SURVIVED MANY A RUN. P.S. IS SYNTHETIC GEAR OIL OK? HAS ANYONE HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT?

Re: steering linkage *help*

The gear oil should be fine. As to the drag link, You can go either with a z-link or a drop pitman arm and
a replacment stock draglink. the zlink are avalible from RRO, Trail Tough, and a few others. You didn't
say where its loose. It it is the ball ends either under the steering box or on the tie rod (The one between the
hubs) then you need new parts. if it is just because the draglink got bent more than needed then you might
be able to find someone who can weld to gusset the draglink you have . No matter what anyone says you
can bend ANY Z-link. Goodluck.
