Re: Models in Sammys?

Your '91 is an SJ413. The Samurai has different names in different parts of the world, Sierra and Jimny are two I know for sure. Check out Geoff Beasleys webpage, he has a section on this subject. If he reads this maybe he will post the link to his page.

Re: Models in Sammys?

I think this is the info you're looking for: http://www.northcoast.com/~zukiman/variants.html

And a question I have now that we're talking about that page: Does anyone know if the Indian version of the Samurai/SJ410, in addition to being named Maruti Gypsy, is/was also named the Maruti Udyog? And if it was also available in Australia?

Re: Models in Sammys?

The SJ413 and the Samurai are two different models, at least here in Germany. The SJ413 has the same narrow axles/rubber fender flares as the SJ410. I believe they were sold in the late 80's here in Germany.

The German Samurai model is nearly identical to the US model, sans rollbar, targa to windshield bars, etc.

Here in Portugal The Samurai'S that came from Germany had an engine of 1324CC and had a sticker under that hood that said SJ500.

Re: Models in Sammys?

Does anyone know what the model number is of the Longbed Samurai that came from Canada? I want to find one and buy one. If you haven't seen one yet, Calmini has got one and it is killer. It looks extremely similiar to a Jeep Scrambler.
