Re: GAS MILLAGE QUESTION

different things affect a lot. i run 33s, 5:12 gears, stock t/c, a holley carb, and a 2 inch exhaust, and a 1.6 8 valve. get around 10 mpg around here. eastern tn mountains. even before i swapped the 1.6 in, got around the same. drove 3 hours to tellico this weekend. drafted a stock zuk the last 60 miles or so, jumped all the way to a little better than 20mpg. made a heck of a difference... dont know what you "" should "" get with those mods, but draftin will make a world of difference....

Re: GAS MILLAGE QUESTION

First; BB- 10 MPG !!!! thats pretty bad!

I run 1.6 8V, GRS1 t-case, 5.12 R P. Header, 2-1/4 cat, 2-1/4 cat-back, Weber Carb that is Tuned PERFECT. 31 BFG Mud. And I drive it Hard, 4800RPM hiway
NO Drafting nessasary for me but 60 mph top speed, up hill, down hill, 60 mph.
If everything is tuned properly your MPG will be good. if Poorly tuned-poor MPG

24mpg after speedo correction

My 95 FI with 31 BFG AT Stock gears, stock T-case, stock engine and exhaust, with P/S gets about 21 in town and 27 hiway.

Re: GAS MILLAGE QUESTION

Hey rockcrawler, wish i got better. most of my driving is less than 5 miles. motor barely gets warmed up. usually the longest drive is to my local trails almost 15 whole miles!!! haha the 3 hour drive to tellico this weekend was the longest trip in it since i got it almost... draftin really made a difference...
hey man, those gears you sent me last year are still workin great. the 5:12s for the front. just slapped the whole 3rd member in, havent had a problem with the ""weak"" kick third yet. knockin on my head, whoops, i meant wood!!!! haha

bb

ps
forgot to mention, i am running a holley progressive 2b for a ford pinto. still jetted for a 2.3 not a 1.6... part of the problem im sure. solvin it now, gettin efi in there finally...
