Samurai to Sidekick rear diff ???

Im changing to the Sidekick gears F/R. Rear--- Need to know a part # for the pinion bearing, race and seal ? Any brand # will do. I can cross it over NAPA #. I was told the carrier bearings are the same. (sidekick, & samurai) Thanks.

Re: Samurai to Sidekick rear diff ???

Actually all the bearings are the same, just be sure to use the races that were with the bearing. When I changed over I just took the pinion and bearing and swaped the races and put the whole pinion assy into the Sam carrier. And get this!!! the pinion depth was perfect!!! Easiest R+P install I've ever done.

"Thanks Rockcrawler" I was told the pinion bearings were diffrent in the two diff's. But it helps to ask around and find someone that has done the swap.

Re: Samurai to Sidekick rear diff ???

A buddy of mine went to Pick and Pull here in our area, and snagged the front and rear 3rd members out of a sidekick, and threw them on to his samurai, and it only cost him $100.00 You might want to go this way.
