My son has a '87 ZUK with spring over, etc. Problem is it will not turn over to start. Get in, push in clutch, turn key and nothing. Has lights, horn, stereo, etc but starter will not turn over. Roll down a small grade and it will start right up by popping the clutch. Is there a neutral safety switch and where is it? Anybody got any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance

Yes they have an interlock switch on the clutch, It is up under the dash I think. That and you should make sure
the wires to the starter are tight, (You may also want to smack the starter with a small hammer to try to seat
the brushes if they are worn, (Note: Not really hard mind you! this is a diagnostic step not a fix.) )
Good luck.
