Malaysia Off Road Rain Forest Challenge

I am into off road magazines such as Fourwheeler and the Land Rover magazines. The Malaysian Rain Forest Challenge in Malaysia is now getting in a lot of press. Well, there were a lot of off road vehicles there, such as Land Rovers, Jeeps and others. Guess what, the Suzuki Samurai made it in 7th place. That is not bad at all considering that the Samurai had to compete with larger and more powerful vehicles. Well, I am into this type of stuff so I am writing here.

I read that article and I dont think larger and more powerful would be much of an advantage. This was some pretty good stuff. Glad to see a Sammy was represented.

If I am thinking about the same article, wasn't there also a Jimny(new Samurai) that placed in the top ten as well?

Re: Malaysia Off Road Rain Forest Challenge

The Brits had a Suzuki SJ 416 Samurai. It placed in the top ten....thats all I saw in the article.
In my humble opinion they should have done more of the article about the vehicles and less about the Kuala Lampur Hilton. But thats they way I am.....:-)

Maybe I am thinking about another article, I'll have to look it up. I agree with the content thing though. Let's see more on the vehicles less on the accomodations.
