What is the best to get, POR-15 or a bed liner kit? Any info would be great!
Thanks

Re: How can I stop RUST?

I Just painted my entire sammy in Durabak. It's Great.

As for the rust issue:

Before you paint it with Either products just make sure you clean off as much rust as possible. The Cleaner the better(Remove all the rust you can).

Both products will seal the metal from the curosive factors and keep the rust from getting worse. To be really safe use both since Por-15 is a primer.

I can not tell you of my long run experience with Durabak and rust. But so far I am very happy with the turn out.

Re: How can I stop RUST?

I think they are the same. Durabak Does come in diffrent colors though. Herculiner only comes in black.

Here are the prices I payed for the durabak.

Color $120
Black $100

4 gallons or more $10 off per gallon. shipping is around $25

I had got 4 gallons to paint the entire Samurai Hardtop inside and out bumpers and all. I used 3 grey 1 black to keep the way it looked with carpet.

If you get either product make sure you do not get it on anything you do not want covered. I was wearing it for a week. Also browse the net alot of reviews out there.

Re: How can I stop RUST?

What my Dad and I are going to be doing here in a few weaks is sandblast all the rust off, prime with POR-15, and then repaint those areas. Then in the wheel wells we're going to put beliner to keep the rust from creaping up on the fenders.
