electrical problem

I have been having some issues with the radio shutting down when I turn on my wipers or heater blower. I checked the voltage before turning on the blower & it was 12.6 after blower was on it was 10.3 I installed another used alternator I had and it does about the same thing. I may have 2 bad alienators but was wondering if any one had similar problems or could it be something else.

i would suspect a loose or dirty connection in your charging system or a bad voltage regulator (if it is external). before you try replacing anything though, have your alt. bench tested. many auto part stores can do this for free.

Check the white fuse link between the alt and battery, as well as that stupid ground wire between the distributor and firewall.

I looked for the white fuse link between the battery & alternator but could not find it.(maybe someone removed it). I had the alienator tested at advanced auto. They stated the alternator was bad. I guess its new alternator time for me.
