Spartan vs. Lock-Rite

OK, the Spartan locker has been out and about for awhile now, and I was wondering what the general opinions are on its long-term performance. I'm looking at one for the rear of mine, but dont want to dump the $$$ on a piece of junk. I have always heard the Lock-Rite is good (although a buddy had bad luck with his in a D44) So how about your experiences with the Spartan?

I've had a Lock-Rite with side couplers for about 10 years in my sammy and it's been great.
Not one problem..."knock on wood"
