Sloppy Samurai trans shifter

I pulled the shifter off of my perfectly good trans and a little pin with a mushroom head fell out. I put it back on the shifter and now its really sloppy. I think the pin may have even fallen down.
Can someone tell me what direction the pin is supposed to fit and if there are any secrets to installing it? Thanks

Sloppy shifter?

Your bolt is broken, it is not 2 piece! Do a search for "sloppy shifter" educate yourself, order bolt and shifter sheet from one of the vendors on this board, it will feel like brand new.
