resets the check engin lite when triggered by mileage intervals (~60K). Will not reset lite if due to engine code being thrown.

your such a nice guy

A cross country trip in a samurai, is a lot like rowing to to England in a rubber raft!

Maybe my first question should be, is the switch just a sammy thing, or does the tracker have one too? The guy I bought my tracker from said the lites been on for years, but it doesnt show a code when hooked up to a computer! Its a 98 soft top 2 door,16 valve, automatic 4+4.

OK dawg, we're on our own here! This place is a ghost town, but they left plenty of info. laying around, just have to sift thru it all!
I went to ack'sfaq.com first. Lots of links there, great source of info! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT clink on the link for "wiring, electrical, console"! It will shut you down! I would have responded to your question when you posted it, but I've been trying to get my puter back up and running!
From ack'sfaq home page, in the first paragraph, he mentions Izook.com, go there, do a little searching, they have a pic of the switch location.
For what its worth, I tore apart my dash on my 98, and didnt find any switch, so I guess the newer buggys dont have one, and we're on our own to figure out how to turn off the light!
Lots of luck to ya!

if there is a problem with a linik make sure you shoot ack an email so he can fix it.

you guys are correct that there is a ton of info on here....but again....as i stated in another thread...most of the suzuki community has moved on to zuwharrie.com or zukikrawlers.com

those are the most active suzuki forums on the net

and as far as i know only the samurais have that switch. the trackers do not have one. chances are if your lights on (especially in a 98) you got a problem.

there us a procedure for jumpering a connector and getting the CEL to flash the code or you can go to an autozone and get them to pull it.
