Cool Rusted Knuckle

Help on this one please. New user here. Reworking the 88 Sami. The front knucles, where the knuckel seals run on the axle ball is heavily rusted. I am thinking about sanding and using a filler in the rust pits to smooth it up a bit. Any other thoughts on this problem???

Search this forum for Zooky's shiny black balls.

I did mine the same way as his. Removed the rust. Used POR Putty to fill, sanded, and coated with the POR15 system (best stuff ever). The balls are so shiny, you can see yourself in them. Better than new, and will never rust again.

Good luck.
