Turn signal fuse blowing
Culprit was the reverse light switch on they tranny...one of the wires had broke during install and was grounding out
Well...while I know the answer is "you have a short somewhere" Figured I'd run down what I've done and hope that I'm missing something totally obvious.
So dropped a 1.6 in got it ruining and what do you know turn signals don't work though hazards do (though on a different fuse/circuit). Yell, cuss and move electric fuel pump to different wire (neither of which goto turn signals) and it magically quits blowing fuses. Never made since but i wasn't going to question the electrical gods.
Fast forward to today....damn thing starts poping fuse's again. Put a new one in turn key on Pop it goes. Here is the list of stuff I've done.
Pulled every bulb - Pop goes the fuse
unhooked the turn signal switch - Still popping but now know its not in the switch
tried a different blinker - no luck
Looked for Obvious wires that may of got pinched during the engine swap
Searched this board for turn signal/fuse
Obvious answers "bad grounds or shorts"
Anything i'm missing besides a fun witch hunt of grounds/shorts tomorrow?
My best guess is that its a short under the dash somewhere as power really shouldn't be going out to the turn signals until i hit the switch......if i'm thinking right.
