How strong is the Vitara roof?

Just wondering about carrying a heavily loaded roof-top waterproof bag on the top of my 01 Vitara for a long trip. The sheet metal seems a little...thin...up there, and I'm wondering if it'll hold up without warping or denting.

I have the factory roof rails, and this cargo bag connectes to those and just sits on the roof.

Any thoughts?

I do know they are very thin, but I have seen people with alot of stuff up there before, I guess just be carefull when you put something up there not to go to heavy. but I have seen those car traveler box thingys on the tops before, and many other things.
